Originally built in 1756, the Georgian Ho (Read More)use Hotel is a Grade II listed historic building combining traditional, old-world charm with modern comforts and facilities. There are 18 en suite rooms, each of which is individually styled and furnished to reflect the building’s historic character. Some of the bedrooms offer the luxury of a four-poster bed and all rooms have a TV and tea/coffee making facilities. The hotel is close to all that Derby has to offer, including many of the area's businesses, the University of Derby and the city’s shops. With open fires, the elegant restaurant offers an à la carte menu and a selection of fine wines. The cosy traditional bar is featured in the CAMRA Good Beer Guide, and has Sky Sports, real ales, a selection of wines, good food and one of the largest beer gardens in the city.

    Very nice and with a couple of tweaks could be extremely nice.
    Lovely property with heaps of character. Four poster bed amazing.
    Carpet gripper coming through carpet at bathroom door entrance, Chaise could do with a clean and curtains to window and 4 poster need to be hung on all hooks.

    Convenient and friendly, but in need of a refurb and proper clean.
    The staff were very welcoming and friendly. The breakfast was good.
    The rooms and bathrooms were not particularly clean. The furniture and fittings, especially in the bathroom were old and in some cases, broken. An attempt had been made to tape up the windows, but this had come undone.

    Would not return which is a great shame as passed some lovely looking rooms on our way out (could see in as doors opened
    The location was good for visiting our daughter at university. The bar area was nice
    We were placed in a family room (we booked a four poster double) the room was freezing the heating went off before we even returned from our evening out. The quilt was like a summer weight one, luckily we were able to use the quilts off the two single beds. There was an electric plug in heater in the corridor with the two single beds in so we moved that to main room but it wasnt big enough to make much difference to the temperature in the room. There was nowhere to hang clothes the wardrobe had shelves in with no hanging space, there was a very noisy fridge crammed in between the bed and the wall (had to unplug it in the night) there was a hair band draped over the corner of the picture, the Tv was very small. There was a large tile missing off the shower area and the bathroom as a whole just looked unclean. The window overlooked a dirty fire escape

    Ive been here a few times, I love the old character and four poster beds.
    Our room was very cold. There was no heating!

    Very vibrant staff friendly and helpful. Very delicious breakfast. Nice room Very comfortable. It was a short one night stay as I booked for a conference. But it was great.
    I liked the hotel it was very cossie old I liked the decor the sort. The I like including the pub

    A Classic Hotel and Very Enjoyable
    The hotel is was a warm friendly place to stay. The staff looked after me really well. I had both breakfast and evening meals and they were excellent. I would highly recommend this hotel and hopefully next time I come to the area I would stay here.
    Apart from the snow which arrived on Saturday evening nothing I didn't like.
