No fires, too much health and safety talk creeping into every conversation, rooms pretty bare these days.. it has lost its selling point which was the fires in the apartments.. lacked atmosphere

Amazing experience in an awesome location
Everything was perfect. The house, the suite was amazing. Dinner exprience in the room absolutely fantastic, dinner and breakfast were both perfect (merci au chef Franais). Views from all rooms of the suite are excellent. Also the short walk close to the house is really nice.

Strathcona Lodge number 10 was impeccable. Thoroughly enjoyed my 2 night stay. Every attention to detail had been made and staff were amazing. Special mention for Glen who was an absolute gentleman and assisted when I had been dropped off in the wrong spot by arranging a staff member to collect me, also an absolute gentleman (can't remember the staff members name sorry). Glen also took the time to explain the history of Glencoe House and made recommendations for things to see in the area. Your staff are a credit to your establishment. Highly recommend
