It is old .
The hotel must be refreshed.

Reading other reviews beforehand made me unsure of booking this place but honestly people are just dramatic and maybe haven't stayed outside of cities in UK before. It was super lovely place to stay and while it's not the newest building maybe, everything worked perfectly, the room was cosy and cute, and it was clean and had everything you'd need like kettle, hair dryer etc.

I really like Glencoe, the nature is something amazing and if you have a lot of plans to explore the area and need a hot
I liked the fact that the hotel is over 400 years old , the interior design is in keeping with the style, it's like you are transported back in time)
It's very nice to have breakfast overlooking the mountain, the breakfast was delicious!
The staff is nice
The first thing is the noise of cars and the view from the window not only on the mountain as it was in the description, but also on the road and the gas station with a blue sign.
Dirty walls, in some stains, cold in the bathroom (end of November) + thin walls.
The beds are not very comfortable either.

Lovely pit-stop in Glencoe!
Lovely stop off as part of our Scottish roadtrip. Rooms were comfortable as were the communal areas! Very dog friendly which was appreciated and the breakfast was great.
The communal areas are very nice with open fires but staff would not light them for ages until well into evening, and then would only keep them lit for a certain period of time. Not sure if they are trying to cut costs and not use wood but it would have been so lovely and atmospheric if they had lit them without fuss and over-explanation! Especially in winter! Rooms are comfortable but double beds are on smaller side.
