We choice this hotel due to location and brand reputation. Our expectation of staying at a Hampton didnt meet reality,

Good location

Property dated. Rug in room was stained and torn. While bathroom was probably clean, rust and peeling paint in bathtub made us feel uncomfortable. A/c didnt operate and room temperature too high to sleep comfortably. Only one ice maker in the whole facility worked, which required everyone to use one ice maker on the third floor that couldnt keep up with demand. We were unable to access the wifi. Per clerk it was an Apple problem since everyone using non-Apple products could access wifi. Hotel charged $50 to credit card for possible incidentals, were still waiting for it to be refunded.

I booked this hotel with booking.com, the hotel called and said they had no hot water on the premises and I was advised

I booked this hotel with booking.com, the hotel called and said they had no hot water on the premises and I was advised to cancel. I did and they all kept my money and never gave it back. Not sure if its booking.coms fault or the hotels fault but that is the reason for the bad review.
