Derwent Water can be reached within a 5-minute drive or a 10-minute walk and local fells to explore are Skiddaw, Blencathra and Catbells.     The breakfast was 10/10 the service by the hosts was excellent.
    The room was a bit small and sometimes difficult to move around/leave bags etc. Great size for a short break but would have preferred a larger room.

    Very friendly staff, and they were happy to hold a route card and check that I returned safe from my solo walk in the fells.

    Clean, warm and comfortable room with a view across the rooftops to the fells. Lovely hosts, superb quality breakfast and very flexible with a breakfast request on my final morning. Excellent location a short stroll into the centre. Could not fault the stay and will definitely return.
    Nothing to fault at all. Note the 'small' room is indeed very small but that is made abundantly clear so be prepared, pack accordingly and you won't struggle with it.

    Highly recommend!
    Very friendly, kind and considerate landlords to upgrade my room and assist with my breakfast choices! Clean and cosy room! So lucky I was in here to spend my holiday time! Beautiful landscape with friendly people!
    Just in my room, the hairdryer didnt work, maybe that needs to be changed
