    About This Property

    The 125-year-old Hotel Gletschergarten with its magnificent mountain and glacier view is personally run by the 4th and 5th generations with a lot of commitment. All rooms have a newly renovated showe (Read More)r WC or bath WC, TV, WIFI, safe and balcony. Breakfast is included in the room rate, in the evening a fine 4-course menu is served on request. The Hotel Gletschergarten is ideally located at the end of the village near the church and the local history museum, the bus stop is right next to the hotel. All mountain railways can be reached comfortably and in no time with the free local bus. For a fee, guests can be picked up from Grindelwald railway station. In winter the cosy lounge with open fire place invites you to linger. Coin laundry in the house. Reduced admission to the Grindelwald sports centre. Ticket and ski pass sales at the reception. There are a small wellness area with sauna and steam bath available.

    The perfect location away from the tourist area but yet within walking distance.
    It was absolutely adorable! Old world charm and we felt like we were guests in a home. Loved the private deck off the room for a little quiet time.

    Comfortable room with a gorgeous view and super nice staff
    The flowers!!!!! And the view!!!! We had a patio to enjoy this gorgeous view and we still look at pictures in awe of its beauty. The room was small but comfortable enough. We would absolutely return.
    The hotel stairs and hallways are slanting. Can tell it's an old building.

    We had an amazing stay and cannot recommend this hotel highly enough!
    Our room was very comfortable with a beautiful view from the balcony. It was so nice to sit outside in the evening with a bottle of wine. The location was perfect, just out of the crowded center of town. The hotel was so full of charm & we loved that its been a family business for 4 generations. The staff was so kind and Gery & Gaby were so helpful with suggestions for our stay.
    There was nothing that we didnt like.

    Authentic Swiss Experience!
    A family owned hotel since the 1800s and it shows. Pride in ownership and all sorts of fun and authentic touches make this a great place to stay fir the real "Swiss Feel". Where else will you get an actual silver service with your meals? So close to everything we wanted to do during our short stay. The owners/staff were first rate and super helpful. You can even buy your tickets for many attractions right at the front desk!
    There was very little to complain about, but being from the USA, I am of course spoiled. The bathroom could have been bigger. It was similar to the bathroom on a cruise ship. Shower was quite tight and I am average sized. It was certainly fine for our stay, but could be a problem if you are a larger person.

    A dream come true!
    It's hard to describe how beautiful this hotel is! We loved it so much we wish we would have booked more time here. The view is breathtaking- breakfast was wonderful. The attention to detail is so appreciated. The location is up the hill, not too far but far enough for a quiet relaxed feeling. The staff was friendly & welcoming. I had a hard time enjoying it because I wanted to take a picture of every step in & out! This was a dream come true

    Excellent location with breathtaking mountain view from the room balcony. The geraniums decoration outside the hotel was beautiful. Breakfast was fresh and delicious.

    Archetypal Swiss ski Hotel. Good location.
    The price. Really Not good value for the price. I am told the town commands a premium. Would I go there again? Probably not.
