Poor choice even for the price

The staff were friendly and location was good.

The shower in our room lost pressure and stopped working. Outside our room was a common area where people would stay up late watching TV loudly. The bar downstairs was very noisy. Blankets were old and clearly not laundered. The hotel claims to have onsite parking but this was not the case when we arrived, they have 3 small spaces mostly used for service vehicles/staff which were never free for guests to use. We had to pay for additional parking a ten minute walk away. The door to the balcony had a curtain that could not be drawn which meant the room was dark and got no fresh air. There was no direct sunlight meaning the room was quite cold and no heating available.

Very cold and humid room, even during sunny days. Toilet didn't have a proper fan. Could hear neighboring rooms' conversations, totally not soundproofed. Pressured to leave room and car keys in at reception, and asked to leave valuable items in separately rentable safes. Since the parking was built only for 3 cars, but the hotel houses many more customers, the employees juggle the cars and fit up to 5/6 of them in the reduced parking space, which leads to constant juggling. In fact, the employees use the leftover car keys to move the customer cars on their own in and out of the parking while the customer is away. The place is also situated in a bar area and is a restaurant/bar itself, so some nights the locals can get quite loud up to a late hour.

Don't expect too much

Good location. One of the cheapest places to stay in Funchal. Good wifi, cute terrace. Room was clean

Impossible to sleep. The guests make so much noise, also outside a Lott of noise. Breakfast is very basic

Location was perfect, rooms was clean and nice, staff was very helpful and nice, we have rent the car and hotel give us parking, nice terrace on the top of the hotel

There was no hot/warm water at all for our whole stay (5 nights) due to boiler failure. Breakfast was poor - every day was the same: one type of ham and cheese, jam, jogurt, cereal.
