A beautiful hotel catering in the main to German clients

Beautiful gardens and pool area Lovely views

There were some quirky house rules in the dining room and the bar that we didnt fully understand- for example we were not allowed to take drinks bought in the bar in to the dining room. One member of staff in the dining room was very abrupt on occasion. The coffee at breakfast was not good and there was only one coffee machine leading to long queues.

Clean, fantastic buffet, tucked away in a quiet, upmarket part of Puerto de la Cruz, beds comfortable

The pillows were harder than we are used to, also they are made of a vinyl type material which makes it warm, for us they were uncomfortable

Very good

The surrounding is really quiet (except the construction site at the moment) and beautiful. The botanical garden looks awesome. The staff is really friendly. Sitting outside for breakfast in the beautiful garden is awesome. The pool is big enough and quiet deep. The breakfast was good but nothing special. The management was present and they welcomed guests.

The hotel itself is quiet old. The carpets in the doorway smell like plastic. The green carpet at the pool and at the balcony also smell like plastic (fake green grass carpet). The room smelled a bit old, especially the bed. If you want to visit the city, you have to walk down and up a lot of stairs: approximately 15-20 minutes each direction. For us it was perfect having a walk after having dinner.
