    It suited our travel plans but would not go back.
    We used this hotel as a stopover so the location was good.
    The building itself is lovely but it has become very rundown and is in need of a great deal of renovation. The staff werent that friendly and gave the impression that they would rather not be there. There was no heating in our bedroom and no additional blankets so during the night it was very cold!

    Great stay, but they need a room refresh
    Really nice staff, helpful and very polite. We had a half board stay, and to be honest we loved the food. Everything was really good and fresh.
    The rooms should have a refresh and the bathroom as well. I understood that they wanted to maintain the ceiling with the paintings, but sometimes, a refresh is needed.

    A great value, great place to stay in Genova Nervi!
    Breakfast was included, and it was a fantastic buffet. I was visiting relatives in Nervi, and it was a short, easy walk to their apartment. It was also a short, easy walk to downtown, including to the train station. Perfetto!

    Great location, super friendly staff, grand old charm, lovely promenade walk & easy drive to Camogli, Portofino, etc
    Great location, wonderful staff, huge room, sea view, great breakfast, free parking and a unique old fashioned charm
    Nothing really, the grand old hotel is a bit tired but I knew this before and it added to its charm.

    A charming, historic stay with plenty to offer.
    This is a charming place to stay and only steps away from the port and sea walk which offer exception views. The staff were inviting and it was great to see the hustle and bustle at breakfast with all the other guests. Our room had access to the front balcony which was a great addition to the stay. The breakfast was a great spread and they have an in house cafe/ bar. This is a great stay for those wanting to visit Portofino and Genoa with a little less foot traffic around them. Nervi itself is a beautiful city.
    The bed is not the best and our bathroom was really small. But these are hardly deal breakers. Also, be warned if you are driving that the gate to the parking area is very narrow. We rented an SUV and squeezed through with the mirrors in and just inches to spare.

    We liked the "another era" feel and faded grandeur just about good enough
    Faded grandeur from a different time, large room with a decent shower. Our room had a ceiling fan but only one speed - slow. Mossies were a pain but hardly fault of the hotel. Easy walk to the harbour.

    If you want a unique and truly Italian place to stay, visit the Hotel Villa Bonera!
    The hotel had a wonderful character - truly unique. It was charming and felt like a comfortable old villa. The staff was so nice and helped us whenever we needed it. The breakfast each morning was fantastic - excellent cappuccino, breads, cheese, fruit, cakes and juice. It was close to the train and easy to access Genova and Cinque Terre.

    The property was very rustic, it had a lot of charm. The food was well prepared. Fresh Italian food good quality.
    The entrance to the car park. Very tight entrance way. Limited parking.
