    A very pleasant stay, but we should have had winter tyres to have made it the the hotel without the
    We travelled to Grindelwald to see the Eiger and were not disappointed. The breakfast was excellent and the lady serving it was very pleasant. We just found that the dinner was rather pricy. The bedroom was lovely, modern and clean with a great view to the mountains just outside.

    Nice setting in a beautiful area
    Staff were great and helpful, restaurant was handy and the dinner was nice.
    The beds were a little uncomfortable and room size was on the smaller size but fine really.

    Superb location in nature and out of the way from noise. Room is basic but very good. View from the front rooms is great. Breakfast is nice and all staff are helpful.

    Overall decent place to stay.
    The staff was very friendly and helpful. The area around the hotel was GORGEOUS. It is located on the outskirts of Grindelwald which we loved because Grindelwald itself was pretty hectic. We didn't have time to hike much but it looked like great hiking all around. It was only a 15 minute drive to the train station.
    Just thought the cost was high in relation to the amenities. Everything was clean but very basic. The view out our window overlooked a patio that was a place for the staff to sit and smoke (kind of junky chairs, etc). Lighting in the room was dim. We weren't there for skiing, etc., just a stopover for going to Jungfrau. Maybe someone staying to ski would have been very happy with the room and maybe the price was higher because of the beautiful location. Also, we had dinner at the restaurant and there were a lot of flies (we learned there aren't typically screens on the windows so not sure what could be done, but it was just annoying while eating).
