Nice beachfront area but thats about all it has going for it

Beachfront and lots of pools although too cold to even dip toes in

There were lots of negatives unfortunately. Could not get into 2 of the specialty restaurants despite trying every night as soon as they opened. Different outcome depending on who you were. Pools were freezing, not even many kids would get it. My daughter never lets the cold stop her and she spent a total of 5 minutes in the pool the 6 days we were there. Food choices during the day were very limited. No waitstaff which is unusual at these types of places. We spent alot of time in line for drinks or food. Entertainment was subpar and we even paid for a magic show which was short and not worth a premium. No medical supplies on site, even though they advertise medical services? We had to take a taxi to pharmacy at midnight to get a basic syringe. They give you resort coupons that you can use and we purchased the $200 champagne to get the discount and they wouldnt give us the credit because it wasnt activated, whatever that means. Every problem we had, no solution. Always trying to make more money off you in a scam like manner. The entire time they have people approaching you to sell you on this or that. Not much to do at night, entertainment wise. Constant miscommunication that ended up costing us which felt intentional at times.

Messy reservation system for restaurants. Even tough only Japanese is supposed to be booked, when you go to others (rather than the buffet one) its fully booked because people have booked it early and you cant go in (even with no queue outside)

Dont do it they dont care about you or respect you

Some staff were very helpful others very rude. Drinks were good. Food was nice. Room decent size.

Staff had zero compassion when we had spent over $1200 per night and were placed next to where the massive party for NYE. Normally we wouldnt care but being so jet lagged and with a young child they did not want to assist us at all. They ruined our whole next day and no compensation or even apology, just so disappointed

Think before you stay here.

Friendly dining staff and housekeepers. Coffee shop workers are awesome. Edgar in the dining room is an awesome guy.

Bacon for breakfast. Only 1 morning of my stay, bacon, was available on the breakfast buffet. This is the season for college and professional sports. There is no place to watch the games and no game day snacks. There should have been chicken wings, meatballs, or something. AC in the room would not turn off. The room stayed cold my entire stay. Hot water for shower didn't last long. Restaurants have different rules each day regarding reservations. Much much more to add. I should be due over half of my money back with the issues this resort was giving us.

We very much enjoyed our stay, but definitely not a 5 star hotel.

Food: The food was excellent. The buffet had a large selection for each meal and plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. The choices of different grilled meats was our favorite part (we ate tons of lamb chops and steak, they need to always keep these options). The food in the buffet and in the restaurants were all great, 99% of everything we chose to eat was delicious. Most all inclusive resorts have Medicare food but surprisingly the food here was the best part and we enjoyed everything we ate. We went to the restaurants early and made reservations and were seated without waiting too long . Staff: They were friendly, spoke english well and were very helpful at any requests we had. Shout out to Edgar, part of the entertainment staff at the pool, thank you for the Spanish lessons. Outdoor: The layout of the outdoors area was well set up, a nice combo of kids area and adult. There were plenty of lounge chairs and pools, so that it never felt crowded, even with all the kids and families there. The beach was close, clean and so beautiful. The waters at the pool and beach were both warm enough to enjoy in December.

Food: We did not like the that there was no one making handmade tortillas, which is a staple at other Mexicans resorts we have visited and oddly all the tacos we ate we under seasoned and bland. We did not like that the only snacks offered around the pool were always the same, the food truck never changed its menu and the pool area did not offer any guac, chips, and other small snacky items to eat by pool. Lastly I was very disappointed that they did not have a juice and smoothie stand, with all the great fruit in this tropical environment, a smoothie is one of our favorite drinks by the pool. Entertainment: The outdoor theater was beautiful and comfortable but the shows were a let down. They only had one show per night and it was all ages but it was catered mainly towards young kids. The first 2 shows were both kids Christmas shows, the third they wanted to make us pay $11 for and the other 2 were boring and did not entertain. I was shocked that they had a magic show in which they wanted people to pay, at an all inclusive resorts, I don't think they gathered enough people to come watch it, it was a let down. We would have preferred at least 2 shows, one that is all ages friendly and one for adults, with more dancing, singing and glitz and glamor. There was also no outdoor, by the pool entertainment at night, so basically after dinner there was not much to do besides get a drink or go to bed, if you were not with a big family. There was only one small club room and it was always filled with young adults, acting. There were no other lounges, game rooms or other facilities to hang out in after the theater closed. Hotel: The hotel inside I would give 3 stars to because it needed work. There were broken elevator windows, chips, cracks and other small repairs needed around facility, it didn't give 5 star vibes. Our room had a broken sliding window and got stuck every time we tried closing it. Our bathroom flusher broke off and we had to call maintenance 3...
