Does exactly what it says it does

This is 'what it says on the tin' hotel. No frills, but clean, quiet, and friendly helpful staff, good basic facilities for heating your own meals on late arrival. I was especially impressed by their edible waffle containers for butter, honey etc at breakfast. A sustainable innovation!

I sleep with a low pillow. The pillows provided were too thick and I could not use them.

Cash, no key, bed bedbugs, bad taxi

It seemed ok at first, the room appeared clean

First, the hotel chain had been purchased the day before so no electronic systems worked- so I had to pay in cash (borrowing a friend's money), the front desk people had to open the door to my room with a physical key which they kept, which made me feel unsafe. Then, worst of all, I woke up in the morning with bug bites on my arm, which were most likely bed bugs. Then they called me a cab which only took cash and that cab charged me 18 euro to drive 5 minutes to the airport. Basically an awful and traumatizing experience.
