    The food in the restaurant was excellent, even better than hoped for; the hotel staff were friendly and very helpful - and there's a little shop opposite for good tea bags!

    Fitted my needs exactly.comgortable and quiet.
    Room great. Especially liked fact windows opened fully. Most hotels now seem like prisons or firetraps with child locks etc.

    Closed on a Monday, no one onsite when we stayed the night, pretty sure we were the only people in the hotel. Alarm was going off in the morning, we had to unlock the main door, and just leave the key. Upgraded to the bigger room, mattress terrible and thin, towels had threads hanging off them, two lightbulbs not working, room needs to be repainted. such a shame for a beautiful village pub. shower best part of the room.
