Superb
A stunning hotel to stay in, albeit very expensive.
Room size and fittings, grounds, breakfast room

Receptionist was somewhat indifferent with the welcome we received, although her attitude did improve over the three days we were there.
The way the head waiter spoke to his staff,

Superb
The location is unique, with breathtaking views of the mountains and the countryside.
The castle itself is beautiful and remained very authentic, the gardens and the woods allow for very pleasant walks.
It's the perfect place to disconnect.
The hotel is not very well suites for families with babies or toddlers in my opinion, because there isn't much flexibility regarding dining options and dner time (the only real dining option is formal and not adapted for young kids).
The room service is not available to the rooms located in front of the walled garden.

Poor
What should have been the highlight of our visit to Scotland turned out to be a very expensive disap
Breakfast was quite good but the service was slow, haphazard and inconsistent.
The dinner on Saturday evening for which we paid $250AUD per head was uninspiring and entirely unsatisfactory. The first course was acceptable but the subsequent courses very disappointing. Soup served lukewarm is not OK at this price.
