Very good

Decent value for money

The property is located right at the heart of the city i.e. french colony. The streets are beautiful. The rock beach is at walking distance and you can enjoy evening and morning walk at the beach side. There are some very good food options nearby. The staff was friendly and very cooperative.

The only thing that is different from the description is the view from the property. I booked this property under the impression that the roof top will have a sea view but it doesn't offer that.

Superb

You get a simple continental breakfast with toast, fruits salad, coffee, omelette and some pastry. Or if you request for a Indian meal, you'll get a mini tiffin from A2B given to you along with coffee. Rooms are small but we'll maintained. No elevator available and rooftop restaurant is on the 4th floor. Take into consideration for people who cannot climb stairs. Courteous and helpful staff. BEST location! Just a hop and skip away from the beach!

Keep your doors closed else you'll be swarmed by mosquitos.

Comfortable stay but not worth the cost

The location was excellent. Within the white town locality, close to good restaurants and cafes, and a stone's throw from Rock beach. The balcony with the room was the best part.

The facilities were nowhere matched to the premium prices paid. It's comfortable and clean but that's about it. You might feel the pinch on your pockets less because of the location but still the property is not worth the tariff per night charged.

Very poor

I paid too much for too little.

The only good thing about this place is that it is close to the beach.

1. As soon as i made the booking, I was asked to pay 50% of the tariff, else they would not hold the room for me. So there was no such thing as book now and pay later for this one. 2. While paying, I was offered the option to upgrade to a room with a view. I did. Then I was informed the only view available was street view from the balcony. As a result, I ended up not using the balcony at all. So, extra payment for nothing. 3. The so called sea view is just a corner on their top floor where you can see the beach through the railing. Almost not worth it. 4. I asked for a vegetarian, non-egg breakfast and i got a south Indian breakfast, the next day. 5. Internet fluctuates every few seconds. 6. The TV in my room was not working, I complained once, then just put up with it. 7. There is no intercom in the room, which means if you need anything, you need to run down to the reception. They do share a mobile number but that is either not answered at all or answered by a woman who does not understand anything - just keeps saying hello, hello. 8. If you need your room cleaned, ask for it. If you need water, ask for it. Nothing is default here. Overall, absolutely not worth the premium rates they charged me.
