Great location, full of character, good food

My deluxe double room was lovely and spacious but my parents in law were in a double room that was tiny and just fit the bed in. Beds could be bigger in all rooms really. They are small doubles I think.

Good base for exploring the area

Well located typical cosy country village hotel. Nice atmosphere.

Been staying here on and off for years now. Hotel felt a bit tired this time. Carpet worn and in need of deep clean or replacement. Saggy mattress. Cracked grouting around bathroom tiles. Shower head was grubby with scale. Minor, superficial things, but disappointing. Still had a cosy charm.
