Overpriced for what its offered but good location

Good location close to all the agencies that do tours and to the port and to the only bikini beach They provide you with free water, breakfast was ok: an egg, one susage and bread with marmalade, and juice.

Very hard bad Absolutely no soundproofing, was barely imposible to get a good sleep at night, you could hear all the other doors closing and opening, the crow from outside the window and the cats meow all night, adding to that also the mezzanine calling to pray at dawn, noon, midafternoon, sunset, and nightfall (4am). The personnel working in the hotel was no very friendly all time at the recepcion on they phone..

Abdul and his team were very responsive to our needs. We got into room 207 and there was a problem with kitchen ventilator so all smell of food was in our room and we couldn't sleep. However, the next day Abdul upgraded us into a much better family room that smelled and looked good. We are thankful for thier service.

Maafushi has turned into a concrete touristy jungle that I do not recommend visiting at all. The hotel is good for the price we paid.

Lovely hotel and restaurant, but spa closed

Upgrade to balcony room, made a big difference to my experience of staying here. Better, bigger room, updated bathroom, though one of our rooms had an issue with bugs that the hotel staff tried to deal with. The breakfast is nice, though let the staff know your dietary requirements when you sit down, as they will bring it out already prepared. As others have said, one of the better restaurants on the island, so highly recommend it. It has a number of tasty vegetarian dishes and a vegan salad - which was really nice (it had more thought than just a garden salad, so worth it). Nice decor, garden area with seating, but beware of mosquitoes! Staff were kind.

Bad smell in the corridor to the rooms masked with freshener. Garden room was too basic for the price, so glad for the upgrade - which I appreciate. I only booked the hotel because of the spa, but on arrival I was told it was closed until next month, so quite disappointed. TVs in rooms did not work. I asked for them to be fixed, but after days of waiting, I managed to fix one myself. Lack of communication with the hotel through booking.com when I asked about how to get to the hotel. Three of my messages went unanswered. I organised my own speedboat ride to Maafushi at the airport and back to Mal through iCom.
