I liked the reception. The man was good and welcomed us very well.

I didn't like the food. Much has to be done to improve on the cooking.

Needs some improvements, but lovely spot

The quiet location is lovely if you want some good down time. The staff are eager to please and make improvements. I had no insect repellent so they got some for me. Chef made chapati for me even though it wasnt on the menu - the best Ive had in Zanzibar! The huge trees around the property are really beautiful. Local kids come for chats but no one is trying to sell you anything.

Air con sounded like a tractor every time it kicked in. Toilet seat was broken. Mosquito net didnt close properly. Room was very bright at night. Cats fighting around the tables at the restaurant. Limited drinks selection. I dont swim at the beach so it didnt bother me, but if youre looking for a white sand swimming beach this is not your place. I left 2 nights early for more comfort.

Exceptional

Great start to our Christmas break.

The staff were very friendly especially Mohamed and the restaurant waitress. The housekeeping lady was also a friendly and accomodating person and always came around to check up on us. Breakfast was generous and had variety which was appreciated especially with kids.

- The pool was a bit dirty. - Our food order took so long.
