    A spectacular property surrounded by beautiful countryside
    Monkstadt House was amazing. Our room on the first floor was well appointed with tea, coffee, tv, etc. The bed was incredibly comfortable and everyone on the staff was very friendly. We had a spectacular dinner our first night and enjoyed starting our days with breakfast here. The property was a bit out of the way (single track road) but well worth it due to the silence in the evenings.
    Since we were on the first floor, there was some noise from below the dining room but it wasn't awful. Dinner was available every night of our stay but initial communication to us when booking was that it would not be.

    The perfect remote getaway with excellent food
    This was such an intriguing stay. We stayed in the room at the top of the house and it was AWESOME. I loved all of the windows and the clean bathroom. You got a sense of finally escaping the worries of the world and settling in. The dinner was super and I would recommend booking that in addition to the room. Breakfast was also great. Everything was high-end and done to perfection. I would recommend this spot to anyone.

    Stunning remote location to enjoy the natural beauty of Scotland, and to spend time enjoying the company you are with!
    Stunning location on the northern peninsula of the Island of Skye. Close and scenic drive to Kilt Rock/Mealt Falls, Old Man of Storr, the Quiraing. We stayed in the Alexander Suite, which was lovely and had its own wood burning fireplace. 5-course dinner was very good, several other locations within a short drive to eat and recommend making reservations in advance. Definitely would visit and stay at Monkstadt again!

    romantic, historic, luxurious stay
    This hotel is a must stay in isle of skye. It's history itself makes it worth the stay. This is not it though, it offers amazing food, the rooms are recently renovated and have latest facilities. There was a fireplace in the common room with old days equipments which made it really fun and romantic. The owner of the hotel was very friendly and told us about the history of the hotel and how Bonnie Prince Charlie stayed close to the hotel during the escape. The room was beautiful as well. It was a very lovely romantic stay.
    the price is on higher side and the location is remote. We came during the evening when the weather was bad (raining heavily), finding the place and the drive became a bit of a challenge. Else it is perfect!

    Relaxing and luxurious.
    Location was amazing , our room was comfortable ,quiet and ideal to relax in. The staff were friendly and helpful.
    The only minor thing I can think of is we were in room 6 and the living area downstairs couldve done with the option of brighter lighting.

    Nice place but wouldnt return
    Nice small property in remote part of sky. Because of its remote location it is a destination to go to just for the hotel
    I can see those running it are trying to provide a unique boutique hotel experience and it is an attractive property , however, being small in size and remote we felt that they werent particularly warm and welcoming so didnt enjoy it as much as we had hoped.

    We loved our stay so very much. Just perfect.
    The property, decor, textiles all relaxed luxury - just beautiful. Wonderful views and an outstanding breakfast. Hosts were attentive but not overbearing. Just a wonderful visit, wish we could have stayed a whole week including a whole day in those delicious beds and clawfoot baths!
