    The staff was super nice, the nature around was quite nice.
    The mattress was very uncomfortable which make it hard to sleep and impossible to have a decent sleep , and the AC facing us directly on the bed was not ideal.

    Set in a beautiful surrounding, the hotel is a very relaxing place to stay. The cottages are nice. The chef is a good cook. Staff is friendly and tried to make us comfortable.
    You really need your own transportation. We came with an uber from Udaipur, with the expectation that the hotel could arrange transport/set us into contact with a taxi driver to get out of the area. Yet this was not possible. Since the wifi is not available all the time (which is not a problem unless you have to fix things yourself) and the staff can't speak much english, we spend the whole morning arranging our own transport. Tip to have a list ready that describes the hotel (newly added) facilities. Including transport to get out of the area and to see the fort (for a reasonable price without need to bargain yourself). The swimmingpool and restaurant didn't meet up with the online pictures.

    The resort was a very wonderful place to stay. Cottages are beautiful and well done, with a natural look. There is a great fire pit in the central area to sit around in the evening. Hospitality was great. Overall an amazing experience.
    The location on Booking.com wrongly stated the distance from fort at1.1km. Actually it was over 12kms away

    Beautiful location and resort, but not that close to Kumbalgargh Fort
    This property is overall excellent and a wonderful retreat. The rooms were very comfortable and the grounds are beautiful. Caught a great sunset, ate great food, and they brought in a local dancer who made for a memorable evening. I'd stay there again if I was passing through the area.
    My complaint is that the property listing claimed it was a 13 minute walk from the Kumbalgargh fort. It's a 30 minute DRIVE. I am not sure whether this error was intentional, but it matters a lot. We had a driver, so it wasn't a problem when we discovered this day of, but if we had come via bus, it would have been a much bigger problem. It also means you are less likely to see evening events at the fort like the light show. Overall, I came to value the quietness and seclusion the retreat offered, but truth in advertising is important. There's also no wifi I think that makes sense for a retreat, but it is something that people want to be aware of.
