Very good

Central location with reasonable rates.

Proximity to city center. Good value. Kitchen access. View out the window. Desk in the room. In daytime, about 20 minute walk to train station (if traveling light). (This review is written by my wife, Mary).

Key didn't work the second night and needed to get it fixed. Shower area in bath works though it is miniscule. Arrival at the Newport train station at night, late, it was hard to get a ride and there was lack of clarity at the train station as to where Uber or other rides share services should pickup... there is a taxi area but this didn't seem obvious as the pickup spot for ride share services. The rideshare driver dropped us at the side of the building and it was unclear where to go to get in the building from that spot. Walk back to the street and turn right and you'll see the front of the building and enter there. Someone at the front desk opened the door. Getting there was not a reflection of the stay, but I'd advise arriving in the daytime if possible. The front desk fortunately is open 24/7.

Location

Too warm inside the room and fan made no difference. Mattress was very uncomfortable and the shower was very messy as there was water everywhere on the floor

Good value

Room was functional and value for money. No pillow cases when I arrived, but these were provided when I mentioned they were missing.

Unfortunately there is no long term parking near the hotel except expensive car parks. Had to park in local street about 20 mins walk away from hotel.
