The hotel was booked specifically because while i was away it offered food both Breakfast and an evening meal in fact the envelope mentioned above listed the breakfast times however on the first morning the girl on reception told me that they have no chef for breakfast so as a result no breakfast was available this was the case throughout my stay, breakfast consisted of me going to the local petrol station every morning.
The hotel; boasts a full menu both on the web site and on the menu sheet that is found in the room however the food offered in the restaurant has just a couple of choices and in my opinion not much choice at all. the first meal that i ordered on the first night was of poor quality and at least 60% of the steak was un edible and not good at all when i pointed this out the the waitress when she asked how was the meal all she could say was that was a shame and i will tell the Sheff. I waited for some sort of reply and after waiting for a further 45 mins nothing and no-one came back to me.
The room was comfortable however it was cold and the heating was not on, also when i sat on the soft chair in the room while watching TV in the evening on one night i had a white shirt on when later i took the shirt off the rear looked like someone had rubbed makeup all over the back of it, this was coming off the chair and when i rubbed the cushions of the chare it turned a white tissue brown this was totally unacceptable. Apart from my first morning in the hotel there was not anyone on reception to speak to to explain my concerns. as someone who stays away on business Monday to Friday every week throughout the year and as someone who works for Volkswagen in Customer Satisfaction this experience was particular disappointing. this hotel was chosen over a much cheaper Premier Inn based upon the offer of food on site I would have been better off staying there and saved my company some money too.
