    A little bit of home away from home.
    Breakfast was great. I loved that there was a bathtub to relax in (it was small but doable). It's a home away from home. The staff is always friendly and helpful.
    The light fixture over the table was very dim and I asked to have it replaced but nobody came. The parking spaces are very small and you can't open your car door all the way (this is a problem all over Rapid City except for Sam's Club).

    Excessive pool charge and most features were under construction, upfront room charges that were never incurred. Highest pet charge I have ever paid. Worst breakfast offerings, unfriendly breakfast servers.

    Nice room, good value, helpful and friendly staff.
    Outer doors never secure. Added a room charge of 20 dollars per night at beginning of stay but did resolve that later. Excessive charges for pool access with confusing charges.

    A place to sleep but went to bed annoyed.
    Check in was quick. An extra charge was applied to my CC without explanation. When questioned they didnt and could not come up with a reasonable explanation. Manager next day cleared it up but when asked why charge was applied without approval or explanation he had no answer.
    I specifically asked for a quiet room when making my reservation weeks in advance. It was for a king suite. Room assigned to me was a king suite right next to the busy Highway. Like really. Went back down and asked for a better/quieter room and was stuck in a regular queen room right off the elevator. Lucky it wasnt to bad with noise. When I asked about a lower rate since it was a downsize from our original reservation the young man said cant do. We are fully booked. I say BS as I could get a better rate online while in our room. I also didnt like that the desk personnel wouldnt give me their names when asked. Went behind the front counter wall and wouldnt come back out. Again, I say really.

    Convenient and comfortable.
    The breakfast was perfect, not fancy but enough sustenance to fuel up. The staff was very friendly and worked hard keeping food refreshed and stocked.

    Comfortable with some unnecessary irritation.
    The studio king room was clean, comfortable, quiet, well furnished and nicely laid out except the bathroom. (see below) Breakfast bar was excellent and kitchen staff do an excellent job and were very courteous.
    Due to the open shower stall design, plan on drying the floor after your shower. With exception of kitchen staff, employees needed lessons in common courtesy and good PR. At check-in, nothing in the way of a welcome, appreciation or offer of help or information. Not even the invoice slid under your door on day of checkout includes a thank you. For multi-day stays, housekeeping is by request only, a day in advance. To add injury to insult, the hotel bill was $6.25 more than quoted by booking.com w/o explanation. Do not bother with the attached Perkins restaurant, They do not want your business. On our visit, after being seated with menus, we were ignored for 10 minutes while staff cleaned tables, chatted among themselves and rested.
