Rubbish.

I think this property need to review their approach to customer service in general. It was not a cheap hotel. For two nights that was a cost of over 350 all told. Having said that on the second night I was due to leave early around 7.30 am. and I had paid for breakfast but had said that could I have a packed lunch instead and I had a word with them on the night before and the so called manager told me that I was taking 'too many bananas'. Two nighst 360 pounds over priced in the extreme. They charged me eighteen pounds for the priviledge for breakfast which I didn't even have, so I left it there. The manager is money grabbing I feel. Money grabbing I would say this, that is unsavoury to say the least. The area is lovely but she had said out loud that she is not willing to support even local shops or hairdressers which to be honest in today's environment made me ill with the cost of living crisis. They are in it quite clearly for the money and nothing else. The hotel is advertised as having 24 7 reception services but they don't at all. They give you a key code to use out back. The reception service is not available after 2.pm so you can forget that one. My reply to review My review is not 'muddled'. It is my experience of my stay here. You should have refunded the breakfast costs anyway, without the review. You did not do so. There is no evidence of you supporting local businesses, rather the opposite of you having disdain for them as the 'manager' indicated.

Located 5 minutes from Oxford train station & a short walk to the town, shops & restaurants. Friendly staff, clean, good breakfast.

Location is good - about 10mins stroll to city center. Friendly owner who offered us some dry bfast (cereals, biscuits, fruits & juices) when learn we can't wait fir bfast to be served at 8am. Good recommendations for pizza in a pub near hotel

Absolutely perfect

The location was perfect! Such a charming hotel with the most pleasant staff. The breakfast was amazing! I would definitely recommend and stay here again if I make it back to Oxford!

breakfat was very good, location was good

the decor could be better, steps leading to bathroom (room 19 top floor, not en-suite), heating came on for a short time, when it got cold during the night, no heating at all. i would say, for overnight stay, its passable, would find somewhere else if staying longer

Great spot for a night in the city

Good location, walking distance from the city centre, and convenient to have parking on-site. The room was very tidy and had everything we needed for a one-night stay. The breakfast was good, too.
