    It's definitely not the 4star it once was. Looking a bit tired now
    Nice welcoming lobby, breakfast was really nice although described as Scottish buffet breakfast the only things Scottish were Haggis and tattie scones
    We had 2 bedrooms booked our room only had 1 light bulb working in the main light, bathroom shower etc would benefit from an upgrade but apart from that and a stain on the carpet room was OK. The second room had a much smaller and apparently very uncomfortable bed and pillows.

    Check-in was easy. The lady at reception was polite and told us everything we needed to know for our stay. The decor to the bar and restaurant was amazing. Our room was basic like most hotels, had everything you would expect in a hotel room. We had half board booked, so we booked our dinner slot when we arrived. The food was amazing, and portion sizes were excellent. Bar prices are fair.
    There was only one bedside drawer in the room. There are no plug sockets beside bed. Breakfast could have been better. There are hot and cold options. The downside was that tea and coffee were from an urn and not from a coffee machine.

    Location. Dog friendly. Family room. Breakfast.
    Fire escape doors unable to open sufficiently, when trying to open them to leave building to walk dog. No hot water to have a shower this morning as boiler not working.
