    Central location close most sites in Pisa and kind, helping staff.
    I felt like staying at a museum where nothing has changed since the 1950s. The building is a historic palace in the middle of Pisa, which has so much potential as a great destination. But for some unknown reason it feels like someone has decided to keep the property "as it always has been" without maintaining or renewing main facilities up to modern standards unclean bathtub that included a spiderweb, lack of hot water, etc. while so many other historic hotels stay up to date without losing their identity.

    Amazing historic building, helpful staff, beautiful Christmas decoration, good breakfast, location is excellent. The mattress was comfortable, quite firm.
    The room was very basic and old, it felt very outdated and in need of some maintenance (the paint was falling, some cobwebs on the very high ceiling, the floor tiles were damaged, the door lock did not work properly). The shower was far too old and worn out to be comfortable to modern standards. There was almost no noise isolation, we could hear the busy chatter at night as if we were there.

    The stay at the hotel was good.
    The location was excellent. The breakfast was very good.
    I didn't like the heating system of the bathroom. The tap water was not so hot. Sometimes is was hard to have a shower as the room was cold too.

    Beautiful holiday decorations and outstanding, helpful staff in a historic setting made it special!
    As a historic property in the heart of Pisa and overlooking the river, the property and its staff are wonderful. Two of our rooms were located nearby and a third was on another floor. Continental breakfast was great and cappuccino was made for us. Staff recommended a nearby trattoria which was much appreciated as one of our group did not feel well.
    We had an issue with hot water. One of our party of five had hot water, no one else did. On a chilly night, this proved difficult. Same with internet which could not be accessed well except from the lobby.

    Disappointing, but staff helpful.
    Location was great, staff tried to help.
    Heating wasnt on, toilet seat broken, shower was cold, some flying bugs in the room, couldnt connect to wifi.

    amazing old style hotel, situated near many attractions.
    the hotel is amazingly situated near many attractions (museum across the canal) the leaning tower is about 15 minutes walk and the train station was 15 minutes walk as well. near the city center and many restaurants. the hotel staff was super friendly and attentive. they communicated well and provided a lot of information with regards to the area and attractions.
    the breakfast options could be better, but it was really nice overall. some floorboards were loose in the room but didnt hinder the stay at all.
