PARKING INFO We inform you that Sant’Angelo Luxury Resort is a widespread hotel located in the heart of the historical centre of Matera “Sassi”. Therefore, the rooms are spread out in a large area and without a central building. The Sassi are located in a Restricted Traffic Zone with no access for cars. For this reason it is not possible to reach our structure by car. After booking you will receive all the necessary information about parking and how to reach us. ROOMS INFO For the each room category you can choose between the "Grotta" and "Palazziata" styles. The rooms in Grotta are the most characteristic of our area, carved out of the rock from historic dwellings guarantee a stay from the unique experience in the City of Sassi. The stone walls and the soft light give an evocative and romantic atmosphere. The rooms in the Palazziata type have more modern features, built in the characteristic white tufa, may have windows or balconies, offering a perfect combination of modernity and tradition.     The location is unbelievable ,the best view you can ask for The staff are very friendly and accommodating Our room was great with the best view you could have asked for
    The bathrooms are very intimate ! You cannot share a room with a friend :)

    The hotel staff is very kind. the location of the hotel is great. unfortunately the room does not reflect the five stars hotel. I assume they defer in design, ours was clean, architecture was beautiful but the decorations and light fittings used were just wrong, the wardrobe was a joke and the ultra mini shower too. we enjoy the great breakfast and the cafe on a terrace overlooking the old town. All in all nice experience, but the hotel is definitely not 5 star.

    Decent location but disappointing and uncomfortable room
    Location was good, staffs were friendly and helpful
    Bed was very uncomfortable. Their double bed was two twin bed put together with a gap in the middle, ended up almost falling into it multiple times per night. Room size was very disappointing as well, junior suite is barely size of normal room at other hotel.

    I liked Matera but I did not like the hotel because I chose this hotel based on 5 stars.
    I like Only hotel position
    The hotel defines itself as a 5 star luxury hotel. Unfortunately, I think the hotel is at most 3 star quality. They have nothing to do with 5 stars and luxury. The hotel has chosen to mislead its customers with unreal words

    Beautiful cave and palazzo rooms
    Beautiful rooms, we were a group and some of us got to stay in a cave and some in the palazzo, both were so beautiful. Excellent breakfast, excellent service, so happy. Will def stay here again. Amazing views.
