The staff were nice and polite on arrival. The hotel is a few minutes walk past the very lively section of Southend, meaning that at night time it's almost silent. The room was lovely, the bed was comfy and there was even freesat on the TV, so we were able to chill and watch something before bed. We didn't use the bar or restaurant, however just by looking at them both they scream 'Quality'. We'd like to stay here again in the future, and it's location is perfect.
There was nothing we 'didn't like'. However, the shower (which was amazing by the way) didn't have a glass screen, it had been removed. So this meant the bathroom floor was constantly soaking wet.

There was an extractor fan outside the bedroom window that sounded like a motorbike starting up. Kept us awake all night. The room was also really hot and there were noisy pipes that also kept us awake

We were only there for one night, but we had everything we needed.
The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. There was everything you needed for our one night stay.
The shower when you turned it on you either got scalding hot water or when tried to adjust it went freezing, there was no in between. We did report it when we checked out.

Nice looking hotel good location.
The service we received on new years eve dinner not acceptable. We feel they seemed to have forgotten about serving us a group of 8. The staff were having there own party dancing and mingling among themselves and didn't care about the customers that were still in restaurant, as a result the customers left well before midnight it was a shamble and I was very upset as I had paid for my family and two friends as a treat and it was a lot of money. It was definitely promising at the beginning of the evening nice small bar and I must say the barman was very professional as was reception staff it could have been so different but the restaurant staff were well out of order and maybe need some training on customer service.

Loud banging through the night which Im not sure if it was due to the high winds.
Bathroom shower screen is very short (room 102) and the bathroom got super wet every time we used the shower.

The bedroom carpet also partly covered the bathroom which became soaked. No ventilation meaning bathroom became steamed and we had to open a window in the very cold of winter.
The hair dryer didn't have the correct attachments to use, hotel staff had no idea.
There was no where to sit in front of a mirror (partner to do her makeup), the kettle couldn't be plugged into the only desk area as there was no socket, boiled kettle next to the bed. Empty mini bar. Light switch to bathroom situated behind the door...nothing at this hotel made any sense it was awful and not boutique in the slightest.

Lovely stay, great room with great views.
I've had breakfast here before and the omelette is amazing! My only suggestion would be that they waiter repeats back the order as there were a couple of things that were incorrect.
Location is perfect.
My only suggestion would be to have a coffee machine in each room :)

Nice but could have been better
Location is great. Food is pleasant and bed was very comfortable.
Woke up twice due to bottle bins being emptied early morning, the shower temperature changed when in use from hot to cold so was difficult to enjoy.
