Enjoyed the stay but some things could be better
Very quiet, clean and comfortable. Plenty of hot water and views were fantastic. Accommodation felt very private and peaceful. We had avery relaxing time.
Emailed instructions on keys and directions should have been sent earlier, got them on the day we left to come out to the accommodation. TV instructions if it is a normal TV or clear instructions in the place. Felt a freezer should have been installed, this might encourage people to stay longer. Make it more obvious on correspondence that no freezer is provided. A guide on how to use the hot tub, apart from lite it and wait 1.5 hours. Disappointed with no contact from owners. Phoned and left message also emailed two days before arriving. No response.

Absolutely loved the serene location. Would love to stay again.
Best serene location, surrounded by sheep pastures, water, vast views with only 2 far off houses visible. Build your wood fire to heat water for jetted hot tub soak under the stars or sheltered from rain.
Kitchen supplies not conducive to a lot of cooking but we were only cooking breakfast anyway.

Extraordinary location cannot be overstated. Dark sky view of universe. WiFi was the only glitch.
The location has to be experienced to be fully appreciated, It is scenic, quiet and peaceful. The view down the hill and across the loch to the fields on the of side of valley is stupendous with a front row seat to spectacular sunrises. Some reviews have complained about no breakfast service. It is not a B&B. We made our own breakfast. The kitchenette was very good. Also, the location provides easy access to Fairy pools, Quoraing and Talisker beach, but also to Portree.
WiFi did not work and host did not respond to inquiry. Other than the unreliable WiFi, everything else worked fine. But, if you're focused ln WiFi, you may be missing the point of the location. Arrival location and directions were unclear: The sign directs you to "Skye cabins" but there is only one. The plural appears to be aspirational. They tell you to go to the "rotunda," which is a unique use of that term, and it is not visible until you come to very end of the road in a sheep pasture and walk several steps down a gravel hill, and, voila, there it is: beautiful. It's worth the slight effort but there is no reason to write the directions only from the owner writers' informed perspective, when customers' holiday time is so valuable.

If I ever find myself on Skye again I would definitely go back to the cabin... just perfect!
The photos of the cabin do not do it justice... it is absolutely beautiful, completely private and secluded but also safe. The views of the sea and the mountains were second to none! Fantastic
The kitchenette could do with a few more dishes, some oven dishes etc. An iron and ironing board would be handy too. However the host did say if we needed anything we could ask, and we didn't, so maybe they would have provided if we had?

    Beautiful Views and friendly hosts!
The Rotunda is a cozy cabin with a beautiful view. The room is clean and comfortable and the perfect size for a quiet get away. It is very private and the Woodburner jacuzzi is brilliant. The owners were very helpful and were quick to respond to requests. The location is excellent for getting around the island. We couldn't have expected anything more from this place. Didn't want to leave. Will hopefully find time to return!
    Nothing it was perfect.

    Really lovely experience
We really liked the cabin (rotunda) and how remote it was. It's not too far from the other houses, but a little hill hides it well and on the other side you have the water and a lot of sheep! The view is really something and the place is very quiet. The little porch with the chairs and the hot tub is really nice, we enjoyed a few meals there. The hot water tub was great (once we got it going, you need a bit of knowledge of how to start and maintain a food fire, but even 2 city people managed it easily). Kitchen was ok - don't expect to find everything you'd have at home but it was more than enough for heating up a bunch of meals and preparing sandwiches. Bathroom was good size and the water had good pressure and temperature (I like hot showers). I was surprised how good the phone signal was in the area/cabin (you do get wifi anyway). There are signs to the cabin from the main road and a sign of where the parking is. If you can't see them keep going (past the massive hill and houses). The host sent us an email with a lot of information both about the cabin and about where you can get things (dinners, supermarkets); we didn't really need any help with anything but they seemed very nice and responsive.
No big issues for us, just some things to consider: the roads aren't the best in the area (lots of potholes, gravel roads), there is a little walking up and down from the car park to the cabin entrance (if you have mobility issues), toiletries & kitchen washing up stuff provided could be a little better. There are blinds for all of the windows but not for the skylight in the ceiling so in more summer times it can get quite bright.
