The location was good and the beds were comfortable
The Wi-Fi was very poor, the lady at checkin was emotionless and extremely rushed, but the servers at the restaurant and bar were wonderful.

Fantastic stay. Clean room and wonderful breakfast. But the staff really made the difference. Greeted warmly on arrival and remaining joyful through. The staff really made my stay very pleasant. What was noticeable was the none of the staff were youngsters (sorry, I am sure you're all young at heart). I've eaten/stayed in many places recently where there is a lack of calmness because there is lack of leadership/experience. Not so here, all very much under control from people who seemed to be happy in their work.

Good value for a short stay.
The room had a good view of Weston bay and as it was on the top floor, I had nobody above me to disturb my stay. In fact, I wasn't disturbed at all by other customers while I was there even though it seemed to be very full on the Saturday night. The bed was comfortable & I didn't have any problems with my back when I got up in the mornings.
The shower was easy to use.
I was surprised that the price included a breakfast on Sunday morning as I hadn't expected it. The breakfast wasn't too bad, I've certainly had worse!
The staff were very friendly and helpful.
Overall, quite good value for the money in my opinion and I would consider staying here again in the future.

A few things - there weren't many mains sockets in the room which made it difficult to charge my phone overnight whilst having it close enough to the bed for me to be able to hear the alarm in the mornings. The only socket near the bed was difficult to get to as it was situated low on the wall behind the head of the bed.
The hot water took a long time to get up to the room in the morning though it seemed better during the day, probably to be expected with old plumbing.
It's unfortunate the downside of the good view is that the main road isn't far away & it is quite busy even at night which can disturb sleep, something that is out of the control of the hotel but worth noting for anyone who needs quiet at night so who should consider going for one of the rooms towards the back of the hotel.

I stayed in room 17 on the first floor. The shower didn't work and there was only one available plug socket. I woke up to my room being freezing cold.
