The historical townhouse, biult arrownd 1890, is situated in the serene, respectable, and green Dublin's district. Perfect comfort with remarkably affordable prices. The room is both comfortable and clean. An exceptional living room adorned with a traditional fireplace for a cozy rest. Several pubs are within walking distance, and a direct bus line conveniently takes you to the heart of Dublin in just 20 minutes. Special thanks to landlady Marie for her exceptional hospitality!

Really enjoyed our stay with my family, Kids liked it as well. Staff was very cooperative and hospitable. They knew we are coming with 2 kids so a child size bed was already there when we entered the room. I didnt need to ask for one.

Private home stay, welcoming lady host, happy to help, room little bit overcrowded with furniture, which is giving a worm feeling being a family guest, not just random paying guest. Couple of supermarkets not far away, was all we needed.
Only iffy thing thing was parking option, parking in front of the house has to be paid, there's free option, in a parallel alley behind the house, which is narrow.

I enjoyed my stay at St. Aiden's Guesthouse and the village of Rathgar, where it is located.
I loved the cozy, atmosphere at St. Aiden's Guesthouse. It was charming, with a lovely front yard and iron gate, visible signage and a beautiful front sitting room, replete with fireplace, a lovely view to the front yard, gorgeous ceilings, wallpaper, and chandeliers. Marie welcomed me with tea and biscuits, and explained everything I would need to know about my stay.

Very happy with facilities, and with hostess as guesthouse very homely and comfortable.
Facilities excellent where privacy is fully respected. Kitchen very well stocked and clean at all times. Very near to all amenities supermarkets, public transport etc. Marie, the host was very helpful and kind at all times. House also very nice and quiet.
I did not find any changes need to be made as all essentials in room.

Really comfy clean house with a life fire and real flowers, in a splendid location!
I had to bridge a gap between starting at UCD and a house share becoming available by using rooms b&B etc - and this one was the best out of 4! I had to be economical (the limit for accommodation on top of the mortgage at home was 1000), so booked a single room of 8 m2. But that space was so economically used that it felt much bigger! A floor to ceiling wardrobe had enough hanging and stowing space for a much longer stay (and the superfluous cushions which Irish establishments must have it seems), and there was also space for a desk, night stand and drawer element, plus a not too small bathroom. Everything was spotless, and the bed was made up during the day (embarrassing me because I thought no one would see my chaos...). There is a large common room with a real fire, and real flowers (!! ), so I did not have to sit on the bed for breakfast and that last glass of wine. While guests have to make their own breakfast, there are tables in that common room to have it, and generous quantities of cereals, yoghurt, milk, fruit, coffee are provided (and there are two small and one large French presses, for those who hate nespresso and the like - but that's there as well for those who cannot operate the French press). There is also a toaster, microwave and kettle for fixing a little something if you work late (not sure that's allowed, but I cleaned up properly!) . The bed was comfy, heating worked, and so did the WiFi. I was offered a hot drink on arrival (though I declined as I was eager to beat the dinner times at the nearby eateries, but it was a nice thought!) Location is great - less than 5 minutes and you are at a corner with 4 eateries and a super value opening early and late... There is a direct bus to UCD
Really small bits: I could not get to work the television - probably me being stupid, but a short guide would have helped. The bathroom door does not close - easily fixed by adding a small bolt to be operated from the outside - so guests can let the fan do its work instead of fumes getting into the bedroom. And of course the Dublin parking... But thats not the host's fault, and she offered a parking disk for one out of 2 days.
