Property looks nice but staff is highly untrained

The location though inconvenient was very scenic.

There were so many hidden charges and lack of transparency. Especially on the day we were leaving they ruined our entire experience by charging us $25 for a laundry bag! Yesan empty laundry bag that we had used to pack some stuff in. I would not have minded if they had even charged us at cost if its their policy but to make it a money grab when people are paying $2000 for a stay is crazy.

PLEASE DO NOT STAY HERE AND WASTE YOUR MONEY

I was staying in villa 104 (villa with private pool) during Christmas. The hotel service is HORRIBLE. We left the make my room sign at 9 am and still no one came to make our room when we were back at 4 pm. The hotels food is ATROCIOUS. They had leftover food from previous night for breakfast. The room service is also HORRIBLE. We asked them to bring plates and no one came. We asked them to clear used plates and no one came. They also left a dirty towel with black dirt after room service. This is not what would you would expect from a 5-star hotel and when youre paying so much. To compensate their behaviour the General Manager gave us apology voucher of 800 baht. But we werent allowed to use it as they deducted it from a much smaller amount the previous day (it was valid until March 2024). What an irony in the form of an apology. The staff was also quite rude about everything pretending they dont understand us. Tell me why would I waste my hard earned money at this place which is more expensive than 5 star chains but the service is not even comparable. It is also so far from humanity but few activities within the resort. No one helped us with our luggage either. PLEASE DO NOT STAY HERE. YOU ARE BETTER OFF SPENDING THIS KIND OF MONEY AND STAYING AT OTHER 5 star resorts in Chiang Mai where you can get better service.
