Comfortable dog friendly stay.

When they say they are dog friendly they really mean it.

Sound proofing between rooms could be a bit better. We had noisy neighbours one night.

FAB-U-LOUS!!

The present owners have turned this lovely old coaching inn, which previously had become drab and was in dire need of some TLC, into a warm, vibrant, welcoming hotel. We highly recommend a stay there if you are visiting Purbeck. We only had breakfast but it was excellent. Lovely staff - friendly, welcoming, helpful and courteous. We highly recommend a stay at The Bear and will definitely be returning.

Spotlessly clean throughout room excellent and staff were all happy and smiling and looked as if they enjoyed working at the Bear. We enjoyed our stay so much we definitely going to return.

Lovely room and staff but a bit noisy

Lovely staff, pretty room, great food and service and I love that you welcome dogs

My room was above the breakfast room so the sound of chairs and tables was really loud. I wish Id been given a quieter room as I needed my sleep.

Very good

Breakfast was great, Whareham was great. The Hotel was generally very pleasant.

I didn't like that dogs were allowed in the breakfast room while we were having breakfast.

The spacious room was very comfortable and the food in the restaurant was excellent

I am a beer drinker. All of the beers were run through a chiller and served ice cold. They had two good beers that shouldn't have been served this way. I went across and had an excellent couple of pints in The Wellington round the corner.

Pleasence stay at the hotel, 2nd time, picked a different room this time, which was just as nice.

Location because we were visiting family. We stayed in the hotel for a meal with family which was delicious.

Had to use public parking, which did not work via the Just Park app, so had to get up @ 8am, got to car and pay by card. Kept having to move car around as most car parks had a maximum stay of 4 hours.
