    This place is excellent.
    Great location 10 mins off the M6. Lovely staff, warm fire, great bar area, comfortable rooms. The food in the restaurant is exceptional. Amazing flavours and good variety on the menu.
    Central accommodation areas look a bit dated.

    A great place to stay would have been even better with a little refinement.
    Dinner was superb but choice of menu could have been greater for breakfast.
    Toast was too hard and no hooks on the bathroom door. Shower room was a little small

    Very comfortable and good restaurant
    Our bedroom was very small and space taken up by an unnecessarily big bed. Luckily a space under the bed to put our luggage. But otherwise comfortable for a two day stay

    Food and drink was excellent and way past expectations Our room was adequate, a little gloomy on first glimpse and the corridor leading to it scruffy. A very good view through a necessarily small window, excellent provision for dogs. Thank you
    Tiling in shower room reminded me of a prison camp. Double shower is an excellent idea though - very roomy

    Nice friendly staff, great food , nice ales etc . We requested a walk in shower as my better half has mobility issues,
    quaint and comfortable
    No ground floor rooms so problematic for anyone with a disability, only room with a walk in shower is on the third floor

    Fabulous staff, got a really good feeling as soon as we walked through the door. Nice old (in a nice way) building, with great character. Nice room overlooking the narrow main street, lovely bed, great shower. The food was fab, although I wee bit expensive, although we did go all out with 5 course, including steaks, and desert wines!! :-) Lovely evening dinner, and good breakfast. Make sure you book a table in advance for your evening meal, as we had so we were OK, but lot of people got turned away as they were fully booked.
    Unfortunately the bathroom radiator was on full blast and we could not switch it off so it was pretty hot in the night, as was a warm night anyway, but we reported it on our check out so hopefully this will have been fixed for the next customer.
