    Better than a 5 star hotel.
    Everything! This is your quintessential pub stay in the garden of England. The quaintest little village. The pub is amazing, the food was incredible, we had dinner and breakfast. The people were so welcoming and friendly. The rooms are modern and decor lovely and the Chocolate Port in your room is a special touch. Theres nothing we didnt like about the Duke William and we will be back.
    There wasnt anything to dislike. Pub closes at 11pm but its quiet around 9.30pm.

    Only thing I can possibly think of is no other milk alternative options. But would stay here again.

    Very good service for our 2 night stay, excellent breakfast and evening meal. Highly recommend.
    We were staying to attend a wedding locally and the location was excellent. The coffee machine in the room was a touch The room was nicely considered and had everything we needed. Even ear plugs and a little port were provided as the room was above the pub. The breakfast was superb and we had the special - mussels for our evening meal which were delicious.
    A little biscuit would have been nice for the tea/ coffee in the room but that's it.

    A lovely little village with a great old pub with full amenities, and a great breakfast.
    Was a little noisy being an old pub, you can use the ear plugs provided if you go to bed early.

    Our happy place!
    We stayed at the Duke William for the second time and were welcomed like old friends. Team, rooms, pub and location are all outstanding. Ickham is a lovely village and the perfect starting point for excursions towards the coast or Canterbury. The team is very kind and happy to accommodate special dietary needs (gluten-free diet). There's nothing better than coming back to the lively pub for dinner after a day out discovering Kent and the beautiful rooms feel like home. We will be back for sure - the sooner the better!
