Twixmus visit.

Friday Breakfast was great. Room was spacious with lots of hot water. Big bathroom too and very friendly efficient staff..

Saturday breakfast wasn't great. Took ages to get toast and it wasn't as good as Friday. Room 24 was very noisy. Waggons arriving at 7am Noisy guests and yappy dogs. It was boiling too, and there was no window to open

Lovely place to stay, good location for surrounding area. Would stay again but eat out.

Room and facilities were very attractive and comfortable. Friendly helpful staff. Good breakfast selection and tasty.

Disappointed in the evening meal, both (different) meals quite dry and no veg. Several choices on menu not available.

The best ever....

Such a friendly welcome , even when we arrived so late. The room was excellent with lots of special details - hand written note from housekeeping, nespresso pods and iron+board in room. Breakfast was freshly cooked and sizeable portions.

Superb

Well worth a visit!

This hotel was, for us, a hidden gem! It is situated in the centre of Thirsk (as would be expected for a former coaching inn) and it was a glorious experience. None of my dislikes will prevent us enjoying the hospitality of The Golden Fleece in future (although, in recommending it, I realise Im (potentially) compromising that possibility!)

In truth, we would have liked some plainer food to have been on the menu but the quality of the fare was excellent. An old building with creaky stairs detracted from from my sleep score as did the lack of soft-closing guest room doors.
