Nice walking location. Old fashioned pub with lovely fire. Staff friendly. Fairly easy to park. Good selection of drinks on tap.
Room needed a deep clean. We were in top double room so very compact. Needed a mirror (not just a small one in the bathroom). Also there was space to of put in more storage which is what it needed. Bathroom was in need of an update. Mouldy shower curtain and grout needed doing. Food wasn't that great. Very salty. We ate there twice. Was quite basic. Also, think they should really have darts playing later on when dinner finished, not right next to tables when eating. Security door was broken and first aid box was empty! Think it just needed a bit of attention on it. Was a nice pub to have a pint in though and staff were friendly. Cleaner was lovely too.

A cozy and friendly pub where local folk made visitors feel welcome. The restaurant offered good value tasty pub food and the breakfast was substantial.
Not exactly a dislike, but the bathroom was rather tired, though perfectly adequate for our two night stay.

    Very good
enjoyed it very much thankyou - it was very restful which is what I intended, private, friendly
    nice village
I wasn't told about the intervening door when I booked in so when I left in the morning at first I felt as though I was 'locked in' to the upstairs corridor - I banged on the door for attention but then saw that the fire escape door was open - it did have a notice saying 'EXIT' so this did resolve the situation quickly but, at first, I thought I might be locked in. Having said that the staff who showed me up to the room the night before were very nice and polite.

Our stay was good overall as we just needed somewhere to sleep although I didn't sleep well at all.
Breakfast was good, but the room where you eat is very cold so the breakfast doesn't stay hot for long.
The bathroom fan was running all night and the light's both flicker on and off all the time. The bathroom floor needs replacing and the shower needs new mastic .

Lo action was perfect for us. Food was good.
Thought we had booked bed and breakfast. However had to pay an additional 8.50 per breakfast, an additional 34, on top of our booking fee. No service in place for those with booked accommodation, after a 6hr drive I had to stand and wait at the bar whilst pub customers were being served. No mention of breakfast, and I had to enquire about it. Limited parking, got back to the accommodation at 8pm on our second night and no parking anywhere, had to park up the road on the main road. The side entrance to the rooms, is open for anyone to access. We were in room 1, and the pub was holding a retro night on the Saturday, it sounded like being in a nightclub in our room until 11pm, although not late, we had a busy day and I had a long drive back to Somerset the following day. So we were ready to sleep by 10pm, but couldn't due to the noise levels.
