    First time but not last.
    Room and facilities in it were excellent and the food was first class. The staff were all very polite and helpful and attentive,
    Very slow service at breakfast on second morning of stay (31/12/2023). About 45 minutes before served breakfast. Would have liked more choice on the mains on the evening menu.

    Excellent accomodation
    Everything was perfect! We stayed for a birthday celebration and had a wonderful time. The quality of the accommodation was excellent, every detail had been considered and the food was outstanding. Staff went out of their way to accommodate our dietary requirements - and the welcome drink was a great touch!

    A warm, cosy, beautiful hotel, highly recommended
    Warm reception, staff very welcoming, pleasantly stunned on how fresh and cosy the place was, with our type of decor. Had evening meal which was tasty, great timing between courses and the staff where excellent. A great find, I will certainly be back and recommended to friends and family.

    A lovely stay in Tideswell!
    The room was great! The look and feel of the property! The parking was a nice touch with the name but we couldnt use it as we had a van. The staff were great! Good choice of food and drinks! Nice bathrooms!! Location fab!!
    The food wasnt outstanding it was very good but the starter was only luke warm and the pizza undercooked. The breakfast was ok only - the coffee was not nice.

    Lovely luxurious feeling to everything with the plus of friendly staff and in a beautiful area. Had visited to eat before but never stayed overnight. Allocated parking space. Had the Roast in the Restaurant which was delicious and breakfast cooked to order and very tasty.
    Missed having a window in the room - lovely high ceilings with velux type windows so there was daylight.

    Beautiful rooms with excellent food - would definitely stay again!
    Amazing room - really comfortable and luxurious. Very helpful and attentive staff. We ate in the restaurant in the evening with was excellent - the food was really high quality. Overall the Merchant's Yard felt very fitting for a special occasion weekend away and we would definitely come back there.
    There was only one person on breakfast service, so it was a little slow. It wasn't a huge issue but having another member of staff on would probably have helped and I would have ordered another coffee if that had been the case! Luckily the delicious breakfast made up for it.
