Over the past few months we have transformed the space and the offering to be one of the go-to dining hotspots in Eastbourne. Open daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The restaurant is located on the ground floor of the hotel and can be accessed through the hotel or its new street-side entrance. It is a large airy restaurant offering spectacular views over the sea, and a gorgeous backdrop to any meal.The 1912 brand represents the Lansdownes fascinating history. The hotel is currently in its 110th year of being owned and run by the same family, now in its fourth generation. It is believed that the Lansdowne is one of only a handful of hotels in the UK that have been owned and run by the same family for over a century. Family is really important to us.Eastbourne Pier is a 10-minute walk away and the Royal Eastbourne golf club can be reached after a 5-minute drive. Very good

Excellent value, very comfortable.

A very short stay, but we could not fault it, we would stay there again. Spacious bedroom with sea view, and good selection for breakfast. All staff very nice.

Disappointing

Wont be returning, its a shame because I travel back and forth from Cyprus, and like familiarity

Most of the staff were good. The lounges were comfortable.

After being offered two rooms, that were not acceptable, we decided to accept the third. To say that the room was tired was an understatement. After complaining of a noisy extractor fan, it was still not fixed when we left. Heated towel rail in the bathroom didnt work. When we arrived, we were very tired after travelling from Cyprus. But I feel that I should have offered to pay more for a better room. Then maybe our stay would have been better.

Superb

Very good quality, much better than most 3 stars hotels.

Large family room, comfortable beds, very clean refurbished room. Good furniture, everything worked fine, no issues at all. Good breakfast, bot English and Continental. Nice toiletries and everything in the room was good quality, in excellent condition, fully functional. And an unusual one (but good): fantastic water pressure in the bathroom for both hot and cold.

Maybe the heating should be left on a bit longer. It wasnt too cold but it didnt feel warm enough at night.
