    The Royal Hotel is excellently located for breaking up a trip to Scotland or for visiting the Lake District.
    Parking is limited but staff were great at giving advise on off street parking.

    Tried it once will not be trying it again!
    FOOD IN THE HOTEL WAS VERY GOOD.
    Room was adequate but nowhere to store your clothes etc. Noise outside the hotel was annoying(trains cars and people until the early hours of the morning.)

    Perfectly Warm, friendly. Brilliant stay.
    Very attentive friendly staff. I was upgraded to a lovely spacious family room due to a small booking error. The entire hotel was spotless and warm. The junction bar with live entertainment was perfect finish to a lovely evening. Free on street parking just round the corner.
    I felt the food was a little over priced for what you got.
