    A former coaching Inn, the 18th-century Sitwell Arms Hotel is set in 6 acres of beautiful gardens, 10 miles from Sheffield City centre.     A good gym and well placed for South Yorkshire.
    Some lovely rooms and some not so good in this hotel, this time not so good. The breakfast server was clearly in a bad mood

    Spacious single room. Warm. Quiet. Handy shop opposite.
    Scalding hot shower which cant be altered so I couldnt use it. Tiny sink. Hard to fill up kettle in a tiny sink

    it was worth the money and the staff where friendly as mentioned before just a few more plug sockets
    The bed for was very comfortable
    My only real issue with the room is that there are no plug sockets on the bed side of the room, for phone charging but also to run a sleeping machine

    Large comfortable rooms. En suite shower needed updating. Broken bedside table needed replacing. Would have liked another bedside table on the other side of the bed. Food was excellent. Staff, especially on reception were exceptional. Helpful and friendly.
    The weather lol! Damaged bedside table, shower needed updating .

    As I was attending a Christmas party there, it was very convenient to stop at the venue. The room was basic, but fine for staying overnight.
    The shower was more a trickle than a shower. The shower on tap fell off, and the sink was that small it was impossible to wash your face or be able to fill the room kettle. In a nutshell, I'd say the room could do with a bit of DIY

    Not the cosy retreat we were after!
    It was not the cosy retreat we were expecting. Its quite a large hotel (deceiving from the details on booking.com) which caters for parties and weddings, and even though I asked after booking a room if any events were on the hotel the staff did not tell me (as I struggled to get a table n the restaurant at a reasonable time - 5.30pm was all that was available!) Food was ok, similar to a Hungry Horse style but staff were friendly and accommodating. The room was spacious and warm, but see below for further details!
    We were in room 4 which was on a ground floor corridor, with a path directly outside the window. The curtains did not close properly so there were gaps where people could easily see into the room. Plus there was a wedding on, and although we were not disturbed by loud music from the wedding, there were unruly children constantly running up and down the path outside our window shouting and swearing until 11.15pm. At around 9pm I tried to use the phone in the room to call reception to see what they could do and the phone did not work, so I ended up calling from my mobile. Reception said they would try to help by getting a message to the DJ to make an announcement for parents to control their children. However, this obviously did not work, as it was noisy til after 11pm. Plus there was a fire escape door outside our room which was opened and closed a few times an hour which alarmed for 10 seconds then stopped. All in all, a bloody awful room! We were told by the receptionist on check out that any bookings which were not part of the wedding/parties would be situated on the 2nd floor. I did tell reception at check in we were not part of the wedding, so seems some staff are not aware. We wont book to stay here again.

    Most of the staff weee very friendly. One wasnt , shame.
    As above and clearly not enough staff in at breakfast. Very busy and took 20 mins to get order taken. The breakfast is massively overpriced for what you get. Cheaper in premier inn and way more value for your money

    Lovely little find- will be back!!
    The dinner in restaurant was delicious (I had the Thai Fishcake salad and sweet potato fries) and the whole place had such a nice welcoming atmosphere!.. My room was quiet, spacious and comfortable - what a lovely little hospitality business!! BEST thing was I could charge my EV car directly outside. Highly recommend.
