    This was my 2nd time staying here and I enjoyed it as much as the first time. Room was warm and comfortable. Inn is a very short walk or drive to town centre, and provides ones of the best Scottish breakfasts.

    Comfy and welcoming.
    Room was comfortable although a bit small. Staff were very friendly and gave us lots of info about Skye. The location was good and the breakfast was excellent.
    The evening meal menu was limited for choice.

    Excellent stay and location for a night out in portree, breakfast let it down but will rebook!
    Really comfortable room and convenient location - hand wash / gel smelled gorgeous. Really attentive and friendly staff. We didnt use the bar but when we went to breakfast the fire was on and room was really cosy.
    only downside was no mirror in the main room making it difficult to dry hair and apply makeup and had to use a reflection in a painting on the wall to dry hair and wait for partner to get out of the bathroom to use the mirror in there. Unfortunately breakfast was another story. we both had full scottish and both were overcooked. Cold hard bacon, overcooked beans and couldn't even cut through the sausage so took it back to the room for the dog to eat.

    A perfect stay
    This was a charming inn with a delicious dinner and breakfast, amazing staff, and an adorable cat living on the premises. It was within walking distance of the local shops and restaurants, and it was easy to drive to all the iconic destinations throughout Skye. I had a lovely stay and would return in a heartbeat.

    Great place, but not ideal if you want an early start
    Everything but the breakfast was great
    Breakfast: A la carte style breakfast. We waited 26 mins before we were asked what we wanted to eat. We normally eat our breakfast within 30 mins and are our of the door by that time. Not even tea/coffee was offered in the meantime. Even after the order was taken, the service was slow and uncoordinated. Coffee arrived 10 mins after order was taken (36 mins after we say down). Customers not served in the order they arrived. Food arrived 45 mins after we'd sat down. What a crappy way to start the day. Scotland in November, we were literally wasting day light. Had a whole day of activities planned. Set our day back by and hour in the end. 27 people total seated. 2 staff members taking orders one a time. Kitchen sending out orders one at a time as well. Method doesn't work when you're this busy for a morning service. Either increase the numbers of staff or switch to a buffet service. You've got your staff exhausted and customers wasting their mornings waiting on breakfast just so you can saveafewquid.
