Superb

It was great and far exceeded our expectations.

The rooms were clean. I loved the bedding. The steff were friendly and helpful.

The shower could do with a wand for those people who dont want to stand under the water and get their hair wet. This was the only issue in our family group.

Great, excellent value for money.

For a budget hotel I would recommend this place. The room with en-suite was absolutely lovely, modern, clean, comfortable bed and it was easy to control the heating. Staff were brilliant.

Comfortable and friendly, far from 5 star but you cant really go wrong.

We use the White Hart regularly. In fact I remember it the way it used to be before it was renovated. Honestly, I miss the nooks and crannies and fireplaces of the old White Hart Hotel and that character has been lost with the renovations. Saying that, the hotel itself is great although the rooms can be a little hit and miss. For this stay, our room was great and QUIET (not always the case) and the beds have always been super comfy. The staff are always friendly. Good old Devon. Some things dont change.

Parking. Almost always a hassle. There are places to park but it gets complicated - ask the staff for more details. Sometimes you get lucky! The hotel is actually separate to the restaurant (which is a Weatherspoons), although actually, they have the same parent company. Im a vegetarian and I dont mind Weatherspoons - it does exactly what it says it will do and very reasonably. You pay for your breakfast separately to your room which can be annoying if you want to run a tab. In evenings and particular the weekends, the restaurant gets quite busy but even as a hotel guest you CANT book a table which I find super annoying. First come first served basis. Other than these quite minor things, its pretty good .

Everything about this hotel was lovely, staff were happy and polite and friendly, the room was more than we expected, we are planning to stay there again. Food was great too.
