Good base for exploring the surrounding area

We liked the size of the room, the hotels location and grounds. The food at the restaurant was very good. Spa room and treatment was also lovely.

The only thing that was quite disappointing was that the pool and facilities were closed for some maintenance for most of our stay, and we especially chose the hotel for the pool.

Nice stay, good food, comfortable room

Lovely check in staff, nice restaurant with excellent food and service both at dinner and breakfast. Pool and spa very clean. Very comfortable room, enjoyed the mini golf the next day

Could be more family friendly at the pool, if you check in to a room at 3, its a bit mean to say kids staying at the hotel are only welcome in the pool until 4! Shower pressure in the room was a bit low

Underwhelming and disappointing

Really underwhelming

The beds were uncomfortable, no hot water when I had a shower in the morning and the "spa" which is available to guests is a public pool with a tiny steam room and sauna.

we applaud the manager for having such a well run hotel and everything you needed.so clean and comfy

everything was perfect! breakfast was great everything you needed fresh food well presented clean tables and crockery. staff couldnt be more helpful not only in the restaurant but throughout the hotel so friendly and helpful.

Restaurant staff were great and food was good quality, breakfast was plentiful. We had Premier rooms, which were spacious and well furnished. Spa staff were helpful.

There was a major issue in the spa/pool area with many features not working (hydro pool, showers, poolside steam room etc). Staff shrugged this off as normal but when youve paid a lot extra for spa packages that you cant fully experience its disappointing. Had we been warned of this in advance we would have postponed our visit. Some communal areas of the hotel and walkways looked dated and grubby but this was only a few areas. The womens changing rooms for the pool were filthy, rust stained, strewn with rubbish and looked unhygienic. Most staff were friendly and helpful but the reception staff were not and this gave a bad first impression. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone with mobility issues as there are a lot of stairs and there is only a small lift at one end of the building

Disappointing

Shower not working properly. Although this was fixed it did take two attempts (first seemed to work but only temporarily) and was a bit late by that point.
