Enjoyable stay shame about the jazz music

Nice room, comfortable grand bed

We had Jazz music playing from the dining area Which we could hear in the bedroom, didnt stop until I went downstairs and asked them to stop the music. Came back on at 7.30am

We had an excellent 3 days there.

Room was in the eaves so a little cramped and no lift so carrying luggage up and down the stairs was a bit difficult. I would recommend anyone who has a health problem ensure you get a ground floor or at least a first floor room and leave it to pot luck. Otherwise the hotel is both very interesting and charming. The food is very good especially the breakfast. The spa is very good indeed especially the pool which is big enough to properly swim in.

Very good

Beautiful, character building in spacious grounds. Could be exceptional but pitched slightly lower.

Very spacious room. Comfortable bed, good towels. Decent breakfast buffet and good cooked breakfasts. Friendly staff. Plenty of convenient parking.

Feeble shower - water pressure no good. Measly bath - for no good reason; loads of space in the bathroom, yet the bath was too narrow and acrylic. Hotel signage poor especially at night. Very ordinary toast bread.

Disappointing

The staff were very professional and the venue stunning. The bar staff were very friendly

Hot food was only served from 12 til 2pm and then it was sandwiches until 5pm. Then you had to wait till 6pm and it was only the a la carte menu available. We had not eaten all day and just wanted to relax and have a few drinks with some food but we ended up having to go out to another venue as we didn't want just a sandwich and as we hadn't eaten all day and so we weren't prepared to wait for the restaurant to open. Wouldn't stay again because of this reason

Beautiful House and great restaurant

Beautiful house, fantastic staff and amazing chef.

We booked a Luxury Suite but got downgraded. The rate wasn't adjusted until I spoke to the Hotel Manager in site. He was exceptionally helpful but it was too late to fix the problem by that stage, except refund the price difference

Generally good. the dog loved it.

The evening meal was disappointing as it was a repeat on the 2 nights westayed . The pork dish was undercooked, and hard to cut and swallow. The red mullet was very small for a main course.
