Passable

The room smells of dirty hair the moment I walked into the room. Then I found out that the cushion has a very strong smell of dirty oily hair smell. The underneath duvet also have a yellow stain.

Very bad beds

A very nice looking hotel, check in was easy, parking was okay and restaurant was nice with good food and not too expensive. Room was well appointed, big enough and a decent bathroom

The bed was terrible, collapsed and even though they had some sort of topper on the bed it was still very uncomfortable. It was 2 single beds pushed together, hence the topper but both beds were well past their use by date. The duvet cover was about 500mm too short for the duvet, very odd. The bed is the main reason you stay at a hotel..... You need someplace to sleep!

Pleasant staff, quiet clean room, very good value for money hotel and only about 10 mins walk to the

Breakfast a little surprising! In addition to a choice of 3 cereals, fruit juices and tea/coffee, also on one plate came the 'continental breakfast' - Aa croissant, small bowl of yoghurt, pain au raisin- and a small bowl of hot baked beans. Nothing wrong with it, but bowl of got baked beans ( no doubt a nod to the ' full English' came as a surprise!

I was in room 7. The bathroom was all fine ,shower over the bath but it was quite a step to get out of the bath after taking a shower. Whether being an OAP (as l was) or not , a handrail on the wall for support would have been appreciated. Indeed, l am surprised one is not required under Health and Safety legislation.
