The resort took very long to respond and that should have raised some red flags. I contacted them 5 days prior to arrival to set up ground transportation to the boat and boat transfer to the island. Never heard back and I had to contact them the day prior to get everything set up. It went downhill from there. The beds were incredibly uncomfortable. Keep in mind that this is not a regular hotel room, but a thatch roofed hut - probably best described as glamping, but not very glamorous to be honest. The worst part was that the air conditioning did not keep up, so it was hot and sticky and on the last night it barely worked at all. I tried to contact staff, but the front desk closes after 4 or 5 pm and there was response (other than an automated message stating that theyre closed for the day). The doors to the pool and room is open to the top, so despite screened in windows, the mosquitoes ate us alive. The gecko probably tried to help, but couldnt keep up. The pictures made the private pool look bigger, but its probably best to expect an oversized bathtub than a pool. The room/hut had a very primitive and run down feel to it - the toilet seat was even broken. I honestly expected more for USD$200+ per night. If you are looking to get close to nature, this is your place, as there no TVs and very sketchy WiFi. So, if youre looking to tune- out, this may be your spot. For us, it was extremely disappointing.
