    Convenient but can be better
    Peaceful, clean and comfortable. Can be loud in the weekends due to pool parties.
    Is very uncomfortable to dont have wifi and have rooms with very bad celular coverage. Also, the waiting time for the food was very long.

    Quick stay but awesome experience.
    Simple yet comfortable but best of all the friendly service. Food and drinks superb as well!
    I was woken up at 3am by noises in the roof. I asked about it in the morning..it was the Neighbors peacock that likes to roam around the roofs at night

    We loved Vista Mare! I like the fact that the boat ride is included and that they take dogs. Our room was very comfortable, great towels, AC and hot water too. The staff is always pleasant and cheerful. The views at night are amazing, the skyline of Boca grande is quite the sight. We stayed four days and ate all our meals there. Best pasta in Cartagena! Best breakfast too since all the options are included (avocado salmon, pancakes, burrito, traditional..). Nobody pushes Tierra Bomba but it is such a peaceful break from Cartagena and easy to get to. I highly recommend this hotel.

    Fantastic vacation!
    We stayed 4 days at Vista Mare and felt very comfortable! The room was very clean and the garden with the pool and outdoor shower were fantastic! The food was lovingly prepared and we could eat at different places which was very romantic. The beach is very nice and you get your own deck chairs. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We can highly recommend the Vista Mare Beach House!

    Expensive, hot, uncomfortable and low to no tech.
    Location was nice with a view of Cartagena, but that was about it.
    The resort took very long to respond and that should have raised some red flags. I contacted them 5 days prior to arrival to set up ground transportation to the boat and boat transfer to the island. Never heard back and I had to contact them the day prior to get everything set up. It went downhill from there. The beds were incredibly uncomfortable. Keep in mind that this is not a regular hotel room, but a thatch roofed hut - probably best described as glamping, but not very glamorous to be honest. The worst part was that the air conditioning did not keep up, so it was hot and sticky and on the last night it barely worked at all. I tried to contact staff, but the front desk closes after 4 or 5 pm and there was response (other than an automated message stating that theyre closed for the day). The doors to the pool and room is open to the top, so despite screened in windows, the mosquitoes ate us alive. The gecko probably tried to help, but couldnt keep up. The pictures made the private pool look bigger, but its probably best to expect an oversized bathtub than a pool. The room/hut had a very primitive and run down feel to it - the toilet seat was even broken. I honestly expected more for USD$200+ per night. If you are looking to get close to nature, this is your place, as there no TVs and very sketchy WiFi. So, if youre looking to tune- out, this may be your spot. For us, it was extremely disappointing.

    nice getaway stay
    its a very peaceful stay. rooms are very nice and comfortable. beds are also comfortable. there a nice beach area although the ocean and beach is carrying the trash from the city. the staff is really friendly. they go out of their way to assist you. the food is also very tasty.
    although the food is very tasty it takes very long to arrive. it can take up to 1/1,5h to arrive even though theres not many people there.

    Beautiful hotel with superb staff and delicious food. Will definitely come back!
    The hotel is close to Cartagena and the transportation being included is a plus. The service was excellent and the decoration was on point. The food and drinks exceeded our expectations every time. Capo made sure our stay was unforgettable, he was very polite and friendly, attentive to any requests. Lovely stay with the family
