Lovely hosts, clean room, GREAT breakfast!
Host was lovely, facilities were clean, bed was comfy, and a cooked breakfast after a heavy night at a wedding was most definitely appreciated!

A lovely cabin in a beautiful garden. A short walk into the centre of Cowes.
Luxury cabin in an enchanted garden. A full English vegetarian breakfast was served by the host to our veranda in the morning with a nice pot of fresh coffee.

A lovely spot really close to the centre of Cowes
The chalet that our daughters was in was a very cosy and private spot with its own verandah (great in summer I'm sure) and a very self contained space pointing down the garden not towards the house so it isn't overlooked. The room in the house we had was accessed by its own stairs at the back of the house and was a nice space with its own well-appointed and large bathroom across the top of the stairs. The view was out of the front of the house. Having tea and coffee and a kettle in the room was really welcome too. It was really handy to have a gate through the back garden directly into Northwood House park and the garden is lit by lots of solar-powered fairy lights at night so you can see your way. This room is directly above the other guest room in the house on the ground floor, which is next to the owners' kitchen/diner. The quilt was plenty warm enough, a tad too warm perhaps! Breakfast was 'full English' and tasty.
It is always a risk for me personally when going away as I have a tendency to get an aching back if the mattress isn't supportive enough and I didn't find the mattress supportive. I would also have liked to see more pillow choice as I have neck issues and need a supportive (but not over-firm) pillow. I also found the cold air through the windows a little uncomfortable. If the window seals are replaced I am sure this could easily be solved and may mean you're less likely to turn the heating up to try and compensate (which was tied to the main house's timings). It would be nice to have some variation at breakfast offered, even if agreed the night before, such as omelette or baked goods like croissants rather than toast.

Great location, excellent price and accommodating hosts.
Fantastic location for both the ferry and an event next door at Northwood house. The owners were very helpful, accommodating and the breakfast was lovely. Squirrel lodge was very pretty, quiet and well equipped. Despite staying in November the room was never cold.
Not the owners fault at all, but due to the extreme storms the garden was very wet. We were attending a wedding so not ideal trying to avoid lucky shoes but nothing that could be done due to the awful weather.

Cost, clean and comfortable - the perfect Isle of Wight stay
We had the option of staying in a hotel but felt something more homely would be nice and we werent let down. The bed was extremely comfortable, the room was cosy and clean and Melissa and John were really helpful and the breakfast was fab!
Depends on the time of year but we happened to be there in the midst of a bad storm and theres an acorn tree over the cabin so the acorns were pelting down all night but that Im sure is just a one off!

    Would definitely stay here again.
Location was amazing, easy walk into Cowes through the rear of the property's garden. The room was a chalet in the garden. Beds very comfortable. Fortunately the weather was good enough to have our breakfast on the veranda - not sure what happens when it is cold!

Great breakfast. Nicely decorated and furnished room. Amazing garden. Good location, near enough to Cowes centre and the West Ferry terminal but far away enough to be peaceful.

I had a very enjoyable two-night stay at 24 Ward Avenue. Thank you Melissa and Jonathan.
The chalet (ensuite-wet room-garden view) was comfortable and located in a beautiful garden; birdsong plentiful! Melissa and Jonathan are delightful hosts; it was a joy chatting to them. Their breakfasts were delicious. The B&B is in a great location, just a short walk from the shops and promenade. Two cars can just about fit into the small driveway. There is limited on-road parking directly outside the B&B, but a public car park is a very short distance away (a third of a mile).
