Very comfy, excellent caring staff, very unique historic villa

The location, the immediate surrounding area is very poor and didnt feel super safe although to Be fair the property was surrounded by an electric fence.

Amazing Gem off the Beaten Path

We had a wonderful stay at an unexpected gem in the "middle of nowhere". It was a great surprise although we read about Welgelegen Manor in deciding to stay there, to make this discovery. Welcome was very friendly and insightful about the history of the place. Everything is very clean and all amenities offered very thoughtful as it should be for a five star establishment. Lots of attention to small detail. There are lots of detail and a lot of history that is fascinating. We highly recommend when in the area or for a stopover to the game reserves and Mpumalanga.

Relaxing and great staff.

A thoughtfully restored Manor House. Peaceful with great rooms and pool. Fantastic food and service. Lovely staff. We used it as a stop off for a long road trip but we couldve easily stayed longer. Great place to relax. Great wine too!

Phenomenal experience

the entire experience was above and beyond expectations. The room was beautiful, the food was some of the best i have ever experienced and the people running it went above and beyond what we would have expected to the extent that they got us 2 sim cards to use so that we had internet for google maps. Truly one of the best experiences we have ever had. I am very picky with my food and I would give it 10 out of ten!
