Very good

An enjoyable experience, lovely welcoming environment.

Very nice room, size perfectly adequate for one person. Shared bathroom with just one other room was clean and well serviced. Breakfast room was pleasant and good choices for the included breakfast. Distance to train station was very good and the neighbourhood was very pleasant with nearby shops. I would definitely stay again if in Vancouver.

There was no jug supplied in my room, just a coffee maker and coffee pods. I do not drink coffee. I feel only providing this does not cater to all guests. I arrived after 9pm at night and just wanted to boil a jug. I checked breakfast room and lounge area but could not find one. No one was on hand - self checkin. A fellow guest had one and offered to loan it to me. The next day I asked my breakfast host if I could have one for me room. This was supplied immediately but unfortunately did not work later that night when I tried to use it. I gave up after that.

Disappointing

Disappointing.

The staff were really nice. I liked the traditional style of the property & the location was ok. The room was clean. Nice breakfast. The property is really is in need of an external and internal spruce up. Our room was ok but lacked sockets that were accessible and usable with adapters, a proper dressing table with mirror, and the room was quite a mis-match. The bathroom was extremely small and the toilet cistern constantly dropped through the night with a periodic and prolonged flushing noise throughout the night which was disturbing. Due to the wooden flooring, you could hear the people in the room above until late into the night. Sadly, due to immigration delays in the USA (Seattle), we missed our connecting flight to Vancouver, which was out of our control. The airline were unable to fly us out the same night so we lost a nights accommodation. I immediately notified Windsor House (around 4pm with no reply by telephone which was very frustrating), and they were unable to refund me the first nights accommodation which was extremely disappointing as I had let them know at the earliest opportunity when I realised that we would not fly out that night.
